Love this Mike! I agree showing up and being consistent is a big part of getting things done. However, I also believe the details – they do matter.

Super insightful article on importance of attention to details. Loved the examples and specifically Steve Jobs mention of how the internal circuit board unseen by a user was given such an importance. Thanks Mike for this inspiring share.

“David Gausebeck is so smart. He could murder me and get away with it. I ordinarily take comfort knowing that if somebody’s going to murder me, they’re going to make a mistake and get caught.” - Mike Fisher.

This little earwig has stayed with me since the moment you uttered it. Seemed apropos to this article.

Also, I am surprised! I remember you chastising me during a project review. I was staring out the window and distracted with other thoughts of architecture. You said (roughly), “if you want to go to the events that I am invited to, and I know that you do, you have to spend 90% of your time on the boring things.”

I'm glad you are surprised, I must have deflected well.

Ha, I can't believe you remembered me saying that. If something were to happen to me, please don't look to David, besides being brilliant he's also a terrific human.
